 Abstract:  The Plez Talmadge Reilly Collection consists of personal papers and research notes relating to the history of Grand Canyon, the Colorado Plateau, and Lees Ferry. The collection is extensive and represents a significant contribution to the study of human exploration and settlement of the southern Utah and northern Arizona region. The majority of the collection dates from the late 1930s - 1990s. Items prior to 1930 tend to be copies or transcriptions of diaries and documents. Copies of Mormon diaries and reminiscences, oral interviews, river logs, correspondence with other researchers and friends, and photographs constitute the bulk of this collection.
